Wildlife
In the committee minutes of the SRGA from the early years of this millennium there are frequent references to wildlife seen on site. Badgers raised a family near the railway sidings and tiny pipistrelle bats were regularly seen. Rabbits have been absent for years, presumably all eaten by the foxes. A return of slug-eating hedgehogs to the site would be welcome – they have appeared in some gardens of houses in Stoney Road. Butterflies and dragonflies occur by ponds along with frogs and toads. Feel free to add your own sightings!
