Stoney Road Gardens Association

Later this month, Stoney Road will be pleased to welcome Timothy Mowl, Professor of History of Architecture and Designed Landscapes at the University of Bristol. After receiving a grant from the Leverhulme Trust, Prof Mowl is engaged in researching the historic gardens of England, taking a county-by-county approach.

Plot holders at Stoney Road Gardens are following in the footsteps of generations of gardeners who have worked the soil here. Steeped in history, it is one of only four allotment sites to be listed by English Heritage. You can find out more about our history on the Parks & Gardens UK website.
